My name is Megan and I am assistant manager for Greystar Real Estate Partners. I work at the The Miles Uptown in Minneapolis. So what I do, is I started out as a leasing professional and so I tour apartments, worked with people to get them moved it. Currently I'm an a assistant manager so it's more like background kinda things. Working with renewing peoples leases, taking rents, making sure people are being charged correct things, things like that. So what somebody would do, is they would come into our office, they'd have a conversation with us about what they were looking for. So we ask them how much money they're looking to spend, when they're looking to move in and then also if there is specific things that they're looking for in their apartment. And then, so we walk them through the building, we show them all the amenities. So in my building personally we have a pool, a conference room and then a club room and a sky lounge. So we walk them through that and then we'll show them some apartments. And then while we're doing that we're get a better idea of they're really looking for and just kinda nitpicky with it. And then from there we'll just talk about pricing and when they're looking to make decisions and things like that. And they'll either apply or we're figure out why they didn't apply. (laughs) So, once a month I have to close our books and then also, like, taking rent, making sure that every bodies paid. So we have two ways to do that, they can pay online or we still take checks and things like that. But just making sure every bodies amounts are correct, working with people to figure out if there's discrepancies. And so yesterday, I was organizing, just making sure. So we actually were unique situation where we were split off from a different property and so that happened in August and so now we're finally getting settled. So yeah, just making sure everything is in its perfect place. So yesterday I did some filling and (laughs) things like that. There is a big customer service aspect about it, everybody says that somebodies renewal starts at the moment that they start to tour. So it's just making sure that through all the different aspects of their resident lifecycle are successful. So yeah, there are some things that come and in the end it's somebodies home, so it's not just, like, bad dinner or anything like that. So we do our best to make everybody happy, as best we can.
